While drawing this comic, I’ve hit the wall. So I’ll be brief.

I recently went to a friend’s house for a barbecue. No-one else knew how to turn it or, or use it. So I ended up cooking.

That’s fine, I don’t have an issue with it. But it was interesting to see the expectation that I would know how to do it. I did, but it was the expectation that I found curious.

If I were to turn to a woman and say something like “You’re a woman, you know how to clean dishes, right?” I would be crucified.

It’s interesting to see these double standards in society. I won’t heard a comedian — from India — say that it was ‘only possible to be sexist if you’re a man, and it’s only possible to be racist if you’re white.’ Apparently these respective evils don’t apply to women and every other ethnicity.




Again, I wasn’t
offended, I just find it curious.
